Snowy Weddings – A winter wonderland, or the cold shoulder?
These days, everyone is looking for something different to make their special day unique, different and interesting. It seems that in a bid to break free from the sandy beaches and sunshine of the Caribbean wedding, more and more people are  heading to the northernly lands in search of their dream wedding in the snow.
With the likes of Pinterest and numerous websites giving inspiration on wedding ideas, were seeing increasing numbers of pictures in the snow, and for good reason! We all know how pretty and quaint a winter scene can look, the sun shining through icy branches, flakes of snow twirling around, or the thought of being sat by the fire in an alpine lodge with a coco whilst a blizzard rages outside. What’s not to love?
Well, aside from the fact it might… well “Will” be cold, dresses and suit have been showing up on the market tailored for the very event! Blizzards can come in thick and fast in some regions, possibly halting any wedding proceedings, Also of course there is the cost, winter destinations seems to be more expensive, probably due to the fact they are still exclusive and have to import most of their produce. Another factor may be that friends and family were looking forward to topping up their tan whist on your wedding abroad!
Whether it sounds like your deal or not, plenty of travel agents, online forums and websites have guides for those who are thinking on pricing a wedding in the snow abroad, just remember to wear your long socks, so you don’t get cold feet! đŸ˜‰
